About Andrew D. Wilkie
Andrew was born October 29, 1967 in Denver, Colorado. Raised in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, he developed a love for the outdoors and the natural beauty in life. Andrew's mother and older brother encouraged him in the visual arts such as ceramics, stained glass, batik, photography, sculpture, drawing and painting. He met his wife-to-be, Hilary Kitzman (from Morro Bay) while in college in San Diego. They married in 1989 and moved to Wyoming to finish their degrees. With a Zoology and Physiology degree in hand, Andrew pursued a teaching credential. He and his wife moved back to the Central Coast where they appreciate the natural beauty and laid-back lifestyle to raise their three sons and daughter. Andrew is currently a science teacher at Atascadero High School where he teaches Human Anatomy & Physiology and Biology. He counts himself extremely blessed to live, work and create his artwork in Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo County, California.
